If you are a BTU customer impacted financially by the federal government shutdown, we are here to help.
BTU is temporarily suspending disconnections for eligible residential and small commercial customers who are furloughed or not receiving pay due to the shutdown.
To apply, please complete the form below and upload one of the following:
- Furlough letter/notice from federal agency. The document must contain the name of the affected worker.
- Supervisor or HR email confirming unpaid status. The document must contain the name of the affected worker.
What to Expect:
- No disconnection for nonpayment during the shutdown
- Normal billing will continue
- Payment arrangements will be available after the shutdown ends
